Noodle Day …

Dear friends,

Even though I’m still so very blue after such a terrible conflict, I would like to share one interesting day. The Noodle Day 🙂

Guys, do you like noodle? Well, I truly love it … But what will happen if you have it all day long?

Yeah, it happened around a month ago on bright Tuesday.

That morning I came to school wondering about what should I do regarding my students competition administration. We hadn’t paid it yet and it was the last day.Finally, I decided to ask permission and went to ATM with my friend Ms. Ing.

As soon as we finished, we headed back to school …. Now, the day began!

Just few steps before entering teachers’ room, we were called by our colleague (…..). This person asked us to accompany him to have noodles at SCTV. At first, we rejected the idea noticing that we were just returning. However, this person insisted that we go.

10 minutes later … There we were sitting and waiting for our noodles. We chatted quite long till I realized that we should head back to school for class.

Then, teaching day began.

The day was still ok that I finally noticed that lunch time had come.

Ms. Ing and I went to the canteen to have our lunch. Guess what!!! Another noodle! I felt so full but still I forced myself to eat it up coz I still had more classes.

At 3.15, I was so happy, I could go home I said to myself.

Soon, I arrived home … took shower and read a novel.

After my sister arrived and finished cleaning herself, we went to the dining room and I found another noodle packs 🙂 My mum told me that her friend gave it that afternoon.

The day didn’t end up there … My aunt came to my house that evening with other noodles

Syllabus … Changing??? Gosh!!!

Dear friends …..

Been such a long time … Well, I’ve been terribly busy these 2 months and still continuing I guess … and the worst part … I fell ill 🙂 But it’s ok now!

These past 2 months, I have to go here and there and almost everywhere around Surabaya … West to the East and hitherto … Pheww!!! Yeah, one of us got resigned and I had to replace her.

It was not an easy task to do especially due to the feeling not being trusted and even accepted by several … But what shall I do? I have to move on though it finally made me ill previously.

The other problem that made it worse is that realising the changes that I found in IGCSE (thank God after re-reading, some are still the same so I decided to use old syllabus by adding some new materials. However, it didn’t stop there … I had to hit another wall. Yeah, we were asked to revise the syllabus and LP totally following the new input – character building, life skill – and KTSP. While our own materials were so badly copied previously that I had to edit and even find new ones.

How much time do I have??? up till the new school year … Thinking that makes me crazy …

Finally this February, I managed to revise and edit several materials … but now, I have to stop.

I need to prepare the syllabus … Why? Why? Why?

Well, it wasn’t well made previously, we only got the copies. Now, after getting it all, I need to revise it. Who could help me??? Everybody is so busy. Hikz3x

Well, at the moment, I have accomplished 70% of it but still incomplete … Still so far to go!!!

Debate … Test …

 

Dear friends,

Lately, I start with the speaking test and the format that I use is a debate.

There are many pros and cons considering this issue … Well, many feel that they haven’t got enough chance to be debaters previously … But yup life must go on he3x …

So there I was dividing the students into 4 big groups and 8 small groups … and as usual one group consists of 3 students. Just as last year, I made the lot for the topic, position, and flow.

We started this debate this week and the only problem that I encounter is the time because two weeks from now, we’re having final test … I’m running out of time!!!

What about the students’ result … Well, not today … Class will soon begin again for me!!!

 

 

School Open House …

Dear friends,

Tomorrow n the day after will be another open house days for all of us; especially because it will be held at Gloria Suko.

Therefore … everybody has been so busy with their bazaar; several deal with game, the others deal with the open house itself. What about me??? Well, I’m busy writing this blog and later on I have to go to Gloria Pacar. I am appointed as one of the three writers for the seminar.

Well guys, tomorrow, I won’t be here … Still following the seminar … But, I’ll come on Saturday.

Yeah everybody is so busy due to Gloria 25th Anniversary … Happy B’day ….

Let’s go back again to TODAY …

The lessons will only be held till the third period … Then everybody will start decorating their classes. The problem lies in our positions in the open house … Yeah as the host we have to give those nice strategic places to others … and we … have to feel grateful with our inconvenient spaces. But I believe everything will turn out well!!!

Let us review a bit about Gloria Pakuwon City Open House!!! There were several problems there but at least now we have learnt from it and we have to avoid doing the same mistakes.

By the way, tomorrow all of the teachers will be busy too … They have their own tasks just like all of you guys.

One thing for sure, I do hope that all of you could come to the open house  days(both of the days) not only one single day. Why??? Because it is held in our own school. We have to celebrate the event. It won’t happen every day!!!

Preparing the Competition!!!

Dear friends,

Today will be a such a busy day that I do need to buzz around here and there.

Yup, tomorrow is the Youth Day (October 28th) and of course every government institutions and all schools will hold a flag ceremony.  However, this is not the thing making me “buzzy” like the bee. My biggest concern is the “Gloria Competition” for we are celebrating Gloria 25th anniversary.

Well, as the PIC for competition, I become too busy lately (teaching, going to seminars, making proposals, asking for other teachers’ help – though everything has been done by me, etc).

Today and tomorrow will be the peak!!! Well, could only hope for the best though I realized nothing’s perfect!!!

Is it killing me softly???

Nay … I do feel extremely tired but I do love it …

Today … I’m preparing for the competitions. What are those???

1. Rally (need a lot of time in preparing … Done: just need a briefing and distributing materials to other teachers. Unfinished task: preparing the posts)

2. Smart and Fast (Done: questions but not many, teachers’ and students’ briefing)

3. Decorating Yellow Rice (Done: the scoring table)

4. Composing and Singing B’day song (Done: scoring table, Unfinished: organizing music instruments)

Well, hope that tomorrow … Everything turns out to be good …
